The question of establishing normal diplomatic relations between Mexico and Israel was discussed here by the Mexican Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Manuel Tello, and Dr. Adolph Fastlichtz, Israel immigration officer in this country.

Despite the fact that Mexico granted de facto and de jure recognition to Israel in 1949, no exchange of diplomats has taken place between the two countries up to now.
