Israel Ministry Explains Lifting of Restrictions on Food Parcels; Warns Organizations

The Ministry of Agriculture made it clear today that the lifting of all restrictions on sending gift food parcels to Israelis from abroad applies only to parcels sent by individuals and not by public institutions whose funds are destined for Israel.

The sending of food parcels by public institutions of the latter category is considered harmful for the planning of imports and would hamper the work of insuring ample food supplies for the entire population of the Jewish state, it was indicated.
