New York Supreme Court Upholds “released Time” from School for Religious Training

The Appellate Division of the State Supreme Court in Brooklyn yesterday upheld the constitutionality of the state’s “released time” program whereby children are excused from school one hour a week to attend religious classes conducted off the school grounds.
