Argentina May Permit Imports from Israel; First Shipment of Oranges Expected This Month

The Argentine Central Bank will consider the issuance of import licences for the purchase of Israel goods by Argentine residents under the Argentine-Israel financial agreement signed in Buenos Aires last April, it was announced here today.

The announcement said that the importation of the following Israel articles may be permitted under special licences: oranges, grapefruits, artificial teeth, fruit extracts, diamonds for glass industry, chemical and medical products, surgical instruments and books. The first shipment of Israel oranges is expected to arrive here at the end of the month. Several shipments of Israel oranges is expected to arrive here at the end of the month. Several shipments of meant have already left Argentina for Israel.
