An Israel-Yugoslav trade agreement was signed here today. The agreement provides for an exchange of $2,500,000 worth of commodities.
Goods exported from Israel to Yugoslavia will, under the terms of the pact, cover up to 85 percent of the imports from Yugoslavia. The remainder will have to be paid in “hard currencies.” This is a substantial improvement over last year’s agreement under which Israel paid for 60 percent of its imports in “hard currencies.”
