Problems facing the forthcoming World Zionist Congress were discussed here at a meeting of the South African Zionist Council, which represents all factions of the Zionist movement in the Union.

Benjamin Goring, former Zionist Federation chairman who resigned in protest against the party system, urged that the Congress change its constitution and “prevent the party politics of Israel from being dragged into the World Zionist Organization.” Representatives of various Zionist parties opposed his suggestions and offered representation to non-party Zionists. No formal resolutions were adopted at the parley.
