Jewish Women Will Seek Ratification of Genocide Pact by Their Governments

All affiliates of the International Council of Jewish Women will demand ratification in their respective countries of the Genocide Convention which outlaws mass extermination of national, ethnic, racial or religious groups, it was decided here at the concluding session of a five-day meeting of the organization, at which Mrs. Moise Cahn, of New Orleans, was elected president.

Although the United States was one of the original sponsors of this measure in the United Nations, the Senate has thus far failed to ratify the Convention in the name of this country. Meanwhile, the Convention, having been ratified by more than 20 other nations, has become international law.
