Sol Hurok to Receive Hebrew Arts Award for Managing the Israeli Orchestra in U.S.

Sol Hurok, music impresario who managed Israel Philarmonic Orchestra’s American tour last winter, in cooperation with the American Fund for Israeli Institutions, will be the recipient of the first annual award of the Hebrew Arts Foundation, it was announced today. The award is given to the person on the American scene who has made the greatest contribution to the appreciation of creative Hebrew arts in the United States.
