Official diplomatic relations between Israel and Switzerland were established today with the appointment of Samuel Tolkowsky, hitherto Israel Consul General in Zurich, as Minister Plenipotentiary. Otto Seiffert, presently Swiss Charge d’Affaires in Vienna, has been appointed Minister Plenipotentiary to Israel.
