Jews in Havana Lay Cornerstone for First Jewish-built Communal Building

A cornerstone for the first Jewish-built communal building, which will house a Jewish Center and a synagogue, was laid here. High government officials attended the ceremony, Jewish institutions in Cuba are at present housed either in rented houses or inbuilding purchased from non-Jews.
