A district court here today found the Communist newspaper Kol Haam guilty of libel in depicting Premier David Ben Gurion as a “tool of American imperialism” and a traitor to Israel’s interests.
Judge B. Ginossar declared that the defense had not proved its assertion of Premier Ben Gurion’s treason. He ordered the editors to pay 150 pounds ($420) and to publish his decision and the sentence in three consecutive daily issues of the newspaper.
