The anti-Semitic handbills scattered this week by a mystery plane over a three-mile residential area near this city were identified today by the Anti-Defamation League of the B’nai B’rith as a variation of an old-anti-Semitic leaflet disseminated by Gerald L.K. Smith.
(In new York, the office of the Friends of Democracy said that descriptions of the handbills dropped in Detroit indicated they were based on an anti-Semitic throwaway which dates back as far as 1911, and has been distributed by various groups, including Smith’s Patriotic Tract Society, of St. Louis.)
