A demand for the banning of Shechita was made here in a letter addressed to Gunnar Strang, Swedish Minister of Agriculture, by the trade union representing workers employed in this country’s food industries, including employees of abbatoirs. If the prohibition should be imposed, Jews in Norway will also be affected since they now import kosher meat from Sweden.
