Nine members of Zionist youth organizations here left for Israel to attend a one-year course for instructors. Following the completion of the course, they will return to Mexico to direct Zionist activities among Jewish youth in this country.
Thousands of Mexicans attended a mass meeting here addressed by Vicente Lombardo Toledano, prominent Mexican labor leader and president of the Latin American Labor Confederation, who just returned from a visit to Israel. In conveying his impressions of the Jewish state, Mr. Toledano emphasized that “Israel is a bastion of peace and democracy for the entire Near East.”
