The Canadian Jewish Congress and the United Jewish Relief Agencies of Canada announced that a two-day conference of Jewish communities in the maritime provinces will take place next month in Moncton, N.B., for the purpose of implementing the program of the National Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation which was adopted in the spring.

The National Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation has been set up to ensure the full Canadian participation in the three-year $1,500,000,000 consolidation program designed to settle an additional 600,000 Jews in Israel. It was organized by the Canadian Jewish Congress, the United Zionist Council of Canada, the Canadian Council of Jewish Federations and Welfare Funds and the lodges of the B’nai B’rith.
