The International Refugee Organization offices here have announced that those DP’s who do not register for emigration by Oct. 15 have little hope of getting into the United States.
It was reported that at least 20 percent of the DP’s did not consider the matter of applying for emigration documents in a serious light and for this reason the date was set. It was announced by the I.R.O. that of a total of 311,752 migration permits issued to DP’s, only 279,630 had been used as of August 30 and 32,122 were never claimed.
