Samuel Bronfman, who was recently re-elected national president of the Canadian Jewish Congress, was elected chairman of the board of directors of the Palestine Economic Corporation of Canada.
Mr. Bronfman, who is also chairman of the National Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation, announced the participation of his family interests, with a substantial investment, in the corporation which last spring purchased half the voting stock of the 28-year-old bank, now known as the Canada-Israel Central Bank.
