Dr. Chaim Weizmann, who was yesterday officially described as gravely ill, today showed “slight improvement,” according to an official announcement by physicians attending him.

This evening’s bulletin, signed by Drs. S. Zondek and M. Joel, said that the President had passed the night “in a satisfactory manner” with fewer signs of inflammation and a decline in temperature.

The first public announcement of the President’s serious condition was broadcast over the government radio. It said that he was confined to bed by an inflammation of the respiratory system with heart complications.
