Dr. Renzo Bonfiglioli, recently elected president of the Union of Jewish Communities in Italy, has paid his first official visit to Dr. Vincenzo Cardamona, director-general of the department of minorities of the Ministry of Interior.
Meanwhile, the Union, at the request of the Ministry, has begun the drafting of a code of regulations under which Jewish communities govern themselves. Several local communities have already drafted their own regulations, but the Union is planning to work out one general document for the use of all communities. This will be submitted to the Ministry.
