Rome Officials Consider Broadcasts on Jewish Problems

The possibility of establishing a series of regular broadcasts on Jewish problems and Jewish culture over Italy’s government-owned radio network was discussed at a meeting between Dr. Renzo Bonfiglioli, president of the Union of Jewish Communities of Italy, and network executives, who have expressed an interest in the project.

The Union has also begun a nationwide survey of synagogues, cemeteries and other Jewish institutions in an effort to prepare a plan for their conservation. This is considered of prime importance because of the fact that many former communities in Italy no longer exist or are about to go out of existence, leaving their institutions without care.
