Elections to the executive of the Vienna Jewish Community today resulted in a victory for the Jewish Socialist Bund. Of the 24 members elected, 12 are Bundists, 6 Zionists, 5 members of the pro-Communist Unity Party and one member of the Religious Bloc.

The elections were marked by a strong anti-Communist campaign conducted by both the Zionists and the Bundists. The Bundists issued a leaflet describing conditions under which Jews live in Communist-dominated countries, while the Zionists cited the destruction of Jewish culture in every country under Communist domination. The newly-elected executive will be entitled to speak in behalf of the 10,000 member of the Jewish community here.
