A three-year fellowship in Agricultural Engineering for a graduate of the Technion in Haifa, partly at an American institution of higher learning, is being sponsored jointly by the Export Division of Aluminum Company of America, the Palestine Endowment Funds, Inc., and the Technion, it was announced today by Robert Szold, chairman of the board of directors of Palestine Economic Corporation.
The holder of the fellowship, Mr. Szold stated, will be brought to the United States this summer to begin two years of graduate study in the department of Agricultural Enginnering at the State College of Washington. The third year will be spent in Israel at the Technion. The Planned course of study, will cover both agricultural engineering and agronomy in order to provide the holder of the fellowship with a sound knowledge of up-to-date American methods in relation to soil, soil management, fertilizers and hydraulics.
