Jewish DP’s at the Foehrenwald camp today asked the Joint Distribution Committee to facilitate their migration from Germany following a raid by German police on the camp, the last DP center in Germany.

The DP’s told a J.D.C. representative that during the raid the German police beat the Jewish camp inmates with rubber hose and some of the Germans threatened the Jews with pistols. The raid and the police handling of the DP’s led to a clash.
