Ben Gurion and Locker Congratulate New Z.O.A. President

Premier David Ben Gurion today cabled congratulations to Rabbi Irving Miller on his election to the presidency of the Zionist Organization of America, expressing the hope that Rabbi Miller’s election would mean the unification of all sectors of the Zionist movement in the United States and the mobilization of all resources to “fulfill the historical goals of our generation.”

The Premier’s message stressed that now, “more than ever, courageous cooperation between the Z.O.A. and other parts of the Zionist movement in America is needed.” The entire movement, “without exception, must work for the unification of American Jewry and the Jewish nation, for Hebrew education, to strengthen the pioneering spirit among the youth, for the mobilization of pioneering technical forces as well as financial assistance for building Israel, and for the development of its economy and security.”

Berl Locker, co-chairman of the Jewish Agency, also sent a message of congratulations to Rabbi Miller.
