Noted Jewish Scholar Invited to Lecture at Argentine University

Dr. Libman Hersch, noted Jewish scholar and Professor of Statistics and Demography at Geneva University, has arrived here at the invitation of the State University at Santa Fe to deliver a series of lectures. Dr. Hersch is also president of the International Union for Scientific Population Research.

At a press conference upon his arrival, Dr. Hersch praised the Argentine Jewish community as “a notable experiment” in Jewish living. He said that in Europe “Jewishness is fading away “under the impact of world events and stronger non-Jewish cultures.
