A secret meeting of some 40 former Nazis who are still active in the underground took place near here last week, it was reliably reported today. Asked what steps it was taking to prevent the holding of such meetings in the future, the Ministry of the Interior of Lower Saxony declared that it had no information concerning the meeting.

According to the report one of the speakers at the underground session urged the audience to remember its “special mission” and its pledge to Hitler, despite the events of the postwar period. The meeting condemned all those who opposed the Hitler regime, and closed with the singing of the infamous Host Wessel song.
