Canadian Government Permits Sale of Israel Bonds in Country

The Canadian Secretary of State issued Letters of Patent incorporating the Canada-Israel Securities Ltd. Which was created in connection with the proposed floating of Israeli bonds in Canada. The bond drive will be under the direction of the United Zionist Council on behalf of the National Conference for Israel and Jewish Rehabilitation.

A meeting was held at the Israeli Consulate in Montreal on the Israeli Bond Drive. Sydney Green, advisor to the Israeli Ministry of Finance, presently in New York, participated. Mource Abbey. Canadian Jewish Congress leader, was present. Discussions were also held with Joseph Nevo, Israeli Consul in Montreal, on various phases of the bond issue. Professor Maxwell Cohen is the legal advisor to the Canada-Israel Securities Ltd.
