Some 400 Israeli Communists demonstrated in this city yesterday afternoon against the extension of the term of service for conscripts in the Israel armed forces from 24 to 30 months. The demonstration was quiet and the police made no attempt to interfere with the marchers who carried posters denouncing “American war mongers.”
