Withdrawal by the Anti-Defamation League of the B’nai B’rith from the National Community Relations Advisory Council was overwhelmingly endorsed here yesterday by the Southern Regional Board of the ADL. The session approved "the position taken by the B’nai B’rith at the last plenary session of the NCRAC."

In a supplementary statement, the board expressed pride in the achievements made in its region in the field of human and communal relations and expressed concern that recent developments should disrupt this program. It voiced the "fervent hope" that the Jewish community relations organizations "will use their best efforts to harmonize all differences for the good of the entire community."

Meyer Sigal, president of the Georgia B’nai B’rith Association, announced that ADL distinguished service awards would be presented to two North Carolina editors, Horace Carter, of Tabor City, and Williard Cope, of Whiteville, for their fight against the Ku Klux Kian.
