The need for civilian volunteers to work with morale, religious and recreational programs of such agencies as the Jewish Welfare Board, the USO and the Red Cross was stressed here yesterday in a televised panel discussion by Harry Greenstein, executive director of the Associated Jewish Charities and Welfare Fund.

Chaplain Eugene Borowitz, Jewish chaplain at the Bainbridge Naval Training Center, reported “a greater turning to religion on the part of the men in the armed services than is found at home.” He stressed need for “home hospitality” for the troops.
