A special coordinating committee on campaigns for aid to Jews locally, in Israel and elsewhere was established here today. It includes representatives of the United Israel Campaign, DAIA, Buenos Aires Jewish Committee and Zionist Central Council, and is headed by Jose Ventura, co-president of the United Israel Campaign.
The committee communicated with all Jewish and Zionist bodies in Israel and other countries and asked them not to send representatives here on fund-raising campaigns without previously obtaining its authorization. Gedalia Zakiff, who has directed Israel campaigns in South American for the past five years, is leaving Argentina this week to return to Israel.
