Opposition to the McCarran Immigration Act was expressed here today by leaders of Jewish, Protestant and Catholic groups testifying at a hearing held by President Truman’s Commission on Immigration and Naturalization, which is gathering public testimony on the McCarran Act.

The Commission held public hearings yesterday in San Francisco. Leaders of the three faiths in that city also asked for modifications in the McCarran Act. Public views on the measure will be sought by the Commission in Atlanta, Ga., this week.
