Egypt’s “strong man,” Gen. Mohanned Naguib has declared that while German Parliamentary ratification of the German-Israel reparations pact would “hurt Egypt’s feelings” it would not affect German-Egyptian relations, the German News Agency reported here today.
This report contradicts a recent statement in Hamburg by Ahmed Ismail, Egyptian Labor Party leader, who declared that ratification of the reparations pact would be followed by an Egyptian boycott of German goods which would be taken up by all the other Arab states.
