Representatives of the British Conservative, Labor and Liberal Parties last night spoke at a meeting sponsored here by the Zionist Federation of Britain to mark the 35th anniversary of the publication of the Balfour Declaration guaranteeing the Jews a national home in Palestine. The Declaration, contained in a letter from Lord Balfour, British Foreign Secretary, was made public November 2, 1917.

Berl Locker, co-chairman of the Jewish Agency, told the meeting that Israel “could only succeed in its task if the world realized that it had come to stay and would resist any attempt by its neighbors to destroy it. “He added that “we expect the Jewish people here to see to it that we command respect from our neighbors both by our strength and our goodwill.”
