The Israel Government has appointed a committee of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Interior and Finance to deal with the problem of coordination of the Israel bond drive and the United Jewish Appeal campaigns in the United States, it was learned here today.

Meanwhile, Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice-chairman of the U.J.A., who arrived here for three days of consultations with Israel Government and Jewish Agency leaders on the U.J.A.-bond drive situation, has conferred with Premier David Ben Gurion.

At a press conference today, Dr. Schwartz revealed that the U.J.A. has already raised $63,000,000 this year and hopes to raise a total of between $72,000,000 and $73,000,000 by the end of the year. Dr. Schwartz, who plans to return to the U.S. Tuesday, said that the chief reason for the anticipated $10,000,000 drop in U.J.A. collections between this year and last is the crisis which has hit several American industries in which Jews have a considerable share.
