President Juan Peron has agreed to a request that students in rabbinical seminaries be exempted from military service, it was reported here today. The request was submitted to him by Rabbi Amram Blum, a member of the DAIA, central representative body of Argentine Jewry.
Gedalia Zakiff, who for the last five years has been directing Israel fundraising campaigns in Latin America, is leaving shortly for Israel. He was tendered a farewell dinner here by leaders of the Jewish community.
