The West German Parliament will start its debate on the German-Israeli reparations agreement next month and will ratify the agreement either at the end of December or early in January, Dr. Nahum Goldmann reported here today following his return from a three-day visit to Bonn where he conferred with Chancellor Konrad Adenauer on problems concerning reparations payments.
“Everything is well,” Dr. Goldmann told newsmen upon alighting from the plane. “I am convinced that the agreement will be carried out.” Arab efforts to torpedo the agreement had been unsuccessful, he said. Asked why Germany decided to send special missions to the Arab countries, he replied: ” They are interested in Arab trade.”
