The Israel Government believes that enlargement of the membership of the three nation United Nations Conciliation Commission to seven, proposed by the Arab states in a resolution circulated among all delegations at the U.N. earlier this week, would “affect the Commission’s efficiency, ” a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry declared here last night.

Commenting further on the Arab proposal, the spokesman indicated that the demand for repatriation of the Arab refugees was unrealistic. The United Nations, the Arab countries and the refugees themselves” know such a thing is impossible, “he said.
