Two Israeli Air Force pilots were killed today while on a training flight when their plane developed engine trouble, a military spokesman announced tonight.

Arab infiltrees tonight penetrated Jerusalem proper and killed several guards in the Talbish quarter, near the center of the city. The guards, standing around a fire and warming themselves, were caught in a sudden crossfire of Sten guns. Police tracked the raiders to the Jordan border. Israel immediately lodged a strong protest with the Mixed Armistice Commission.
