Professor Samuel Sambursky, director of the Israel Research Council and a member of Israel’s Atomic Energy Commission arrived in the United States for a four month visit of scientific and research institutions at the invitation of the U.S. State Department.
His visit is part of the “Leadership Program” sponsored by the State Department which has been responsible for the visit to this country of a number of experts in various fields. Prior to his arrival in the United States, Professor Sambursky represented Israel at the recent UNESCO conference held in Paris. Professor Sambursky, who was one of the early pioneers of scientific research in Palestine holds the position of Associate Professor of Experimental Physics at the Hebrew University.
