By a vote of three to two, the left-wing Mapam Central Council decided yesterday to participate in a conference of the “Democratic Youth Movement” in Prague. The decision was taken despite a warning by some members of the party that sending a Mapam delegate to the Czech capital, where Mapam leader Mordecai Oren is under arrest, would only strain the organization internally. A leader of Hashomer Hatzair, M. Yasur, was selected to attend the Prague parley.
