The Israel Chief Rabbinate today issued a new appeal against the raising and selling of pigs in Israel. Posters have been plastered up in various parts of the country to “cast out” hog raising. Benjamin Mints, Poale Agudah deputy, today introduced a motion in Parliament to ban hog raising.

(In South Africa, the Transvaal Federation of Synagogues yesterday adopted a resolution protesting the unrestricted sale of pork in Israel.)
