The Turkish Government strongly desires to see the Israel-Arab conflict settled on a mutually satisfactory basis in the near future, Turkish Foreign Minister Fuat Koprulu declared in Parliament during a review of Turkey’s foreign policy.

Mr. Koprulu spoke of the friendly relations between Turkey and Israel, making special note of the planting of a forest in Israel honoring Kemal Attaturk, first president of the Turkish Republic. He said the government had noted with pleasure the presence of Israel President Ben Zvi at that ceremony.
