Contest of Studies on Jewish Life in U.S. and Canada Announced

The Yiddish Scientific Institute today announced its fifth annual contest for original studies on Jewish life in the United States and Canada. The studies may be on any topic pertaining to any phase of Jewish life.

Open to both college seniors and graduate students, the contest closes October 15, 1953 and the awards will be presented at the 28th annual YIVO conference next January. Each entry must contain about 5,000 words and must be submitted in at least two copies. The prizes will be $300, $200 and $100 for first, second and third prizes, respectively.
