A resolution demanding an inquiry into the status of Palestinian Arab refugees, introduced in the Senate Judiciary Committee by chairman William Langer, has been referred by the rules committee to a standing subcommittee on Near Eastern Affairs of the Foreign Relations Committee.
The subcommittee will decide if such additional investigation of the refugee problem is needed. Subcommittee members include Senators Langer, Robert A. Taft, William F. Knowland, Guy Gillette, and J.W. Fulbright.
