A mixed commission consisting of ten representatives of the German Government and ten members of the staff of the Israel purchasing mission in Germany have begun meeting on a number of problems which have held up the flow of German industrial goods to Israel under the terms of the Luxemburg reparations agreement.
The first order of business of the mixed commission, set up under the terms of the reparations agreement which provides that any problems arising from the pact are to be submitted to a mixed group for solution, will be the discussion and approval of German regulations implementing the terms of the treaty. A number of sub-commissions have been established to study the various regulations and it is hoped that full agreement on them will be reached by the week-end. After that, large-scale orders for German goods can be placed by the purchasing mission.
