The Jewish Welfare Federation of Milwaukee became the 18th member of the Large City Budgeting Conference this week, following a decision by its executive committee to accept an invitation to join the national consultative organization of the major welfare federations of the country.

The 12-city conference, composed of federations in cities with a Jewish population of 20,000 or more and an annual fund-raising average of one million dollars or more, was widened earlier this year by the inclusion of Buffalo, Cincinnati, Hartford, Minneapolis and Rochester. The Jewish Welfare Federation and Council of Kansas City, Mo., has also been invited to participate in the Large City Budgeting Conference.
