Jewish Theological Seminary to Mark Its 50th Anniversary

The 50th anniversary of the incorporation of the ### Theological Seminary will be marked by a Conference on Moral Standards ### will open on September 13 in the Seminary and will be attended by more than ### scholars, it was announced here today.

Dr. Louis Finkelstein, chancellor of the Seminary, who made the ann### said that the scholars and experts at the conference will study moral stand### eight major fields–government, business and labor, education, science, ### expression, mass media, family and private behavior and religious institute ### Conferees will be widely representative, he asserted.

Conference seminars, primarily designed to gather and evaluate infor### urgent moral problems, will be under the general direction of Lyman Bry### fessor Emeritus of Education at Columbia University’s Teachers College. ### will emphasize discussion of papers, prepared and circulated among the ### for study advance of the sessions. The experts are expected to review ### ings, first in individual working sessions of the seminars, and then in thro### sessions.
