The Agudas Israel has organized a “Public Committee to Combat National Service” and has urged all religious young women to refuse to appear for national service when summoned, it was learned here today.

The committee plans to make a legal test in every case and is considering the possibility of trying to obtain a Supreme Court injunction against implementation of the national service bill as being contrary to Israel’s basic laws guaranteeing freedom of conscience.
