A national goal of $2,195,000 to be raised to meet the annual maintenance services of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion, was adopted here last night at a meeting of Reform leaders from all parts of the country. Dr. Samuel S. Hollender of Chicago was named general chairman of the Combined Campaign for the two institutions.

Membership in Reform temples has tripled during the past decade and income has increased tenfold, Dr. Maurice N. Eisendrath, president of the Union of American Hebrew Conbregations, told a national conference of the organization’s executive board last night. Dr. Eisendrath reported that during the decade the number of Reform congregations has risen from 301 to 463, the membership from 50,000 to 150,000 families and the revenue of the national Reform bodies has grown from $150,000 to $1,371,000.
